Day 14

Up and at em B&E.

The reality of too many miles and not enough hours required us to give up either the second Glacier visit or the Chief Joseph and Beartooth. We decided to give up the return to glacier even though we were this close. So we headed back south towards Yellowstone.

The days travel was mostly on interstate highways and with newly instilled urgency of the pending end of the trip we didn’t take too many stops for pics, although I did manage a few from the cockpit

Thought you might like to see my windshield after a day of 80mph through the old west

We made it to Livingston and got a place, had a killer rib dinner (at the Montana Rib and Chop), and got caught up on the site and got the remainder of the route planned.

We hope to be up and on the road by 6 am

Days stats –  left Kalispel @ 9:30 and arrived in Livingston @ 4:30 for 342 miles days total and trip mileage of 4616

Tomorrow we will go through Yellowstone and then finally the Chief Joseph and Beartooth.

Wow! You guys are making a lot of miles. Your right, Glacier is amazing! I decided to take the free shuttle rather than bike the Highway to the Sun. I did a 11-mile hike called Highline. It was beautiful. Now I’m zonked.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!
